Esther de Waal

is an Anglican lay woman living on the borders of England and Wales, where she grew up. She writes, travels and gives retreats. Her great interest is in monastic spirituality, which began when she wrote Seeking God, The way of St. Benedict. Her real loves however are her garden and her increasing number of grandchildren.
