Georgia Angelopoulos

studied calligraphy in high school with an art teacher trained in the British Arts and Crafts revival tradition. Her family in Greece, strongly rooted in the arts, inspired her to study Classical and Byzantine calligraphic models for inspiration. She studied art history in Greece and Canada and is very interested in historical letterforms and book culture. She is an active member of the Fairbanks Calligraphy Society in Canada and a member of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators and the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society in the UK.
