There, she writes curriculum geared to healing from the sex trade lifestyle and teaches creative writing. She earned her MCS in Spiritual Theology from Regent College. Heidi is also an adjunct instructor at Ambrose University College, teaching on mystics and social justice. She and her family live in Calgary.

The Center for Courage & Renewal has received support from the Lilly Endowment to sponsor several nationwide retreats titled "Sustaining the Call." These introductory retreats are designed for clergy and church leaders interested in personal and professional renewal as fostered by the Circle of Trust approach described in Parker Palmer's book, A Hidden Wholeness.
Marjorie Thompson will be co-facilitating one such retreat in Nashville from May 22-24, at Mercy Center. The retreat begins Tuesday afternoon and ends at Noon on Thursday. It offers church leaders an experience of supportive community in which to explore renewal of vocation and sustained leadership in ministry. The focus is on integrity, wholeheartedness, and the rejoining of role and soul. Practices include multiple modes of reflection, listening carefully to ourselves, each other, and God, learning the art of open, honest questions,
and the experience of Clearness Committee, a communal process of discernment around life or vocational issues.
